Our Mission

University Housing develops inclusive and dynamic communities where students form relationships that help them grow as
engaged citizens.

Inclusive - Our residents come from a wide variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, religious affiliations, races, nationalities, sexual orientations, ages, abilities, cultures and interests.  University Housing fosters the development of respect, appreciation and celebration of individual differences.  We strive to create a positive environment to support community development for our students, while allowing each individual to grow.

Dynamic - Our community at Georgia College promotes responsibility and encourages residents to actively engage in a positive living experience.  It is through these contributions and the collaborative effort of staff, faculty and students the we are able to create and exceptional learning experience that extends beyond the classroom.

Relationships - Our team is made up of highly skilled professional staff, graduate assistants and student staff members that work to connect all of our residential students to the community.  Living on campus increases the interactions between students and faculty, builds individual relationships, creates service opportunities and involves students in campus activities.

Engaged Citizens - Our programs and activities are designed to provide residents the skills necessary to meet the challenges they will face both during and beyond their college experience.  Through leadership roles in the halls and service opportunities in the community, Georgia College students learn how to make a positive impact on the world.
