Tax Deferred Salary Agreements
Georgia College offers all eligible employees the opportunity to participate in tax deferred annuity programs. These programs are coordinated between the University, investment companies, and the IRS, and are administered by the Human Resources Office. Many laws and regulations have been established that govern tax-deferred annuities, most of which have come about since the Tax Reform Act of 1986 and the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001.
The University plays no part in selecting the annuity companies and does not recommend or endorse any listed authorized comply. you must select the annuity company and make application to the company directly. A listing of authorized annuity companies is available through Human Resources.
