Ranked as one of the best
We are one of U.S. News and World Report's Top 15 public universities in the south.  And the Kaplan/Newsweek College Guide names Georgia College as one of the country's most academically competitive universities.  More than 40 majors are offered in undergraduate and graduate programs in the Colleges of Arts & Sciences, Business, Education, and Health Sciences.  Georgia College is accredited through the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Universities and Schools, and all programs are accredited through their specific authorities.

For more information about academic programs, please review the academic areas on the Web site.

Small classes, personal attention
Our class sizes are small and you will receive personal attention from your professors. The International Center is also well-staffed and centered around making your experience in the States the best it can be.

As you search other colleges and universities, you will find that Georgia College offers affordable tuition and an opportunity to apply for partial financial support. Many of our undergraduate international students have partial scholarships, and most of our international graduate students are awarded graduate assistantships.

Georgia College is set in the friendly, small historic town of Milledgeville, which affords a pleasant year-round climate and a caring community.  We're located about 90 miles southeast of Atlanta, and within driving distance to the seacoast as well as the mountains.

Campus Life and Residential Community
You'll enjoy a diverse student body that includes over 100 international students from 50 different countries and can choose from over 100 student organizations to join.  One of the most active clubs on campus is the International Club, which offers members affordable weekend trips to nearby cultural sites and organizes the annual International Day and International Dinner celebrations.  The International Club will also match you with a "buddy" before you even arrive on campus so you can begin making friends before classes begin.

The campus offers a residential community designed to meet all of your needs. On-campus residence halls and university apartments offer full amenities, including high speed Internet access. In fact, listed as one of the top 50 wireless college campuses, the university is noted for its modern technological resources such as wireless Internet, 24-hour computer labs, electronic classrooms and online learning.

Georgia College is considered one of the safest campuses in the U.S. according to recent U.S. Department of Education statistics.

The Career Office works closely with you as an international student to identify job opportunities in the U.S. and abroad.
