Georgia College welcomes international
students and the diverse backgrounds they
bring to our campus, and encourages all
students to study abroad.
The International Education Center works with
students, faculty and staff across campus to
promote international and cross-cultural
learning, as well as respect for diversity –
one of the four cornerstones of the Georgia
College educational experience - and assists
the University in producing graduates who are
prepared to accept their responsibilities as
citizens of the world.
We assist international students through the
admissions process, as well as provide
information and counseling to the more than
100 enrolled international students from 50
countries on non-immigrant student visa
regulations and processes, medical insurance,
housing, financial and work issues,
adjustment to life in the U. S. and academic
concerns.
The student-centered International Education
Center advises the International Club, whose
members include many U.S. students as well as
students from all over the world, and assists
with its programs such as the International
Dinner and International Week. In addition,
it organizes and provides support for
community and campus activities, such as the
Connections community friendship program, the
International Student Orientation, and Casa
Mondo, the cross-cultural living experience.
The International Center works with faculty
and our partner universities to provide our
students with summer, semester and academic
year study abroad programs in over 20
different countries.
