M.Ed. in Kinesiology: Outdoor Education Administration

Degree Requirements

The M.Ed. in Kinesiology: Outdoor Education Administration prepares practicing professionals to be leaders in a variety of career settings that promote the use of outdoor/adventure environments to create healthy individuals and a sustainable society and for advanced academic study in outdoor education and related disciplines. We use traditional and experiential education strategies to provide graduate students with professional leadership training, technical competency, and an advanced theoretical basis for administering or studying outdoor education programs and services.

We model exemplary administrative and program standards put forth by the Association for Experiential Education Accreditation Council. We serve graduate students who are interested in becoming leaders in society through careers in outdoor education in recreation, education, training and development, or therapeutic agencies.

groups to promote changes in feelings, thinking, and behavior.

4. Administer programs that promote environmental stewardship.

profession and the communities in which they work.
