Instructions for Application for a Minor in Physical Education
The minor in Physical Education is open to students from any major who are interested in health, physical education, fitness, exercise prescription, or in applying to the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) Kinesiology/Physical Education (see http://kinesiology.gcsu.edu for MAT Program Information). This minor includes a sequence of 18 required credit hours. Students who apply to the minor in Physical Education in their first or second year are advised to complete the following pre-requisites to selected courses in the minor: BIOL 2160 & 2170; MATH 2600; PSYC 2102 (as part of their General Education Core).
Application:
Please complete all parts of the application carefully and accurately. Be sure to answer every question. All application materials are due February 1.
To apply:
- Submit the completed application electronically by February 1.
- Submit copies of current First Aid and CPR certifications (both sides). Document will be uploaded with the Physical Education minor application. Both sides of BOTH cards (First Aid and CPR) will need to be on one (1) page/file to upload.
