LCP | The Application Process
Applications for the LCP are taken each semester, and undergraduate students from all disciplines are invited to apply. Students can pick up an application at the Office of Academic Engagement (W-1 Beeson Hall) or download one by following the link below. Students may also pickup or download an information handout, which provides a brief summary of the program.
Applicants are selected based on factors such as their interest in leadership development, commitment to active particiption in the program, involvement in extra/co-curricular organizations and activities, and desire to take on leadership roles in groups with which they work.
If selected to participate, students will officially begin their participation the following semester. Students typically take LEAD 1000: Principles of Leadership during their first semester in the program, and LEAD 2000: Leadership in Action during their second semester in the program. Students are also invited to participate in outside-the-classroom leadership development programming each semester.
To participate in the LCP, students must have completed (or be in the process of completing) at least one semester at GCSU, have at least two semesters remaining at GCSU, and gain acceptance into the program through an application process. An interview may be required.
