Full-time faculty and staff of Georgia College understand that their primary contractual responsibility is to the University. To ensure the integrity and objectivity of research and other scholarly activities, full-time and part-time faculty and staff must not let outside interests interfere with or compromise their obligations to the University. This policy is intended to increase the awareness of employees to the potential for conflicts of interest, and to establish procedures whereby such conflicts may be avoided or properly managed.

Ethics Policy & Hotline
The new Ethics Policy is part of an approach by the University to enhance compliance with state and federal regulations and minimize misconduct by USG faculty, staff, administrators, vendors, contractors and members of the Board of Regents. The new Ethics Policy is located at:

FMLA- Family Medical Leave
FMLA – Family Medical Leave - Consistent with federal law, GC and University System of Georgia policy, complies with the Federal Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Employees that are absent from work due to their own or immediate family members serious medical condition for three or more days, are required to report their illness to GC’s Office of Human Resources. As a member of the GC community, we are required to adhere to specific terms and conditions as it relates to the usage of technology resources on our campus. Right To Know Training
Right-to-Know basic awareness training – All GC employees are required under state law to complete the online right to know training. Most employees complete this online course as part of the new hire process. If you are unsure of whether you have completed the online course or if you are a long term employee you will need to take approximately 10 minutes to complete the course. State Business Transactions
All state employees who transact business with the State of Georgia apart from their employment relationship with GC are required by Georgia law to disclose all such transactions for each calendar year on or before January 31 of the following year. The reporting form and instructions may be accessed via the following link:
