Legal Affairs Mission
The Georgia College & Sate University ("GCSU") Office of Legal Affairs provides legal services to the University on all matters having legal significance to the management and operation of the institution. The Office of Legal Affairs supports the liberal arts educational mission of GCSU through development of solutions designed to minimize GCSU's legal exposure, while advancing the goals and programs of the University within the bounds of the law. While providing counsel toward sound decision-making in legal matters all areas of instruction, research and service, the Office of Legal Affairs seeks to minimize legal risks and costs, reduce litigation, and ensure compliance with state and federal laws, as well as University and Board of Regents policies and procedures.
