Galileo Password

 

How can I obtain the GALILEO password?


Go to PAWS.

Click "Enter Secure Area" and log in.

In the Main Menu, you will see the GALILEO tab.

Click on the GALILEO tab to see the current GALILEO password.


Look for GALILEO password announcement emails on:
  • "GC Faculty" or "GC Staff" listserv (for faculty/staff)
    or
  • "Student_All" listserv (for students)
New password announcements are sent at the beginning of the semester or when the password changes.

The GC Library abides by the statewide GALILEO password regulations and does not distribute passwords over the phone due to difficulty verifying the caller's identification.

You can access JSTOR and Project MUSE databases from off campus, by logging in to PAWS and choosing the desired database.

 The following databases are only available on campus:
  • African American Biographical Database
  • Ancestry Library Edition


While these databases cannot be searched from home, they can be accessed on any University System of Georgia campus.
