Databases
Most databases index articles from journals, newspapers, and magazines.  Some databases offer full text articles, while others contain only citations.  Some databases are subject specific, while others are more general in coverage.  Some databases relevant to the field of Business are:

    • ABI/Inform Complete sm galileo(1971-present, some full-text/images from 1991-present) covers most business and management topics, including company histories, advertising, banking, broadcasting, computers, economics, foreign investment, health care, insurance, international trade, management, marketing, public administration, real estate, taxation, telecommunications, and transportation.
    • Business Source Complete sm galileo provides full text for over 2,345 journals covering all aspect of business. In the advanced search interface, quick access is available to company profiles, country reports, industry profiles, market research reports, SWOT analyses, and articles. In addition to full text articles, this database offers indexing and abstracts for nearly 2,440 journals. Business Source Complete contains popular business publications such as Business Week, Forbes, Harvard Business Review, and hundreds of scholarly, peer-reviewed journals.
    • Computer Science Index sm galileo offers abstracting and indexing of academic journals, professional publications, and other reference sources at scholarly and technical levels of computer science. The collection covers more than 670 periodicals and books, with coverage going back to the mid 1960s. Computer Science Index focuses on subjects such as artificial intelligence, expert systems, system design, data structures, computer theory, computer systems and architecture, software engineering, human-computer interaction, new technologies, social and professional context, and much more. Enhancements to the original database include hundreds of new titles and searchable cited references for key academic journals. This database also includes editor-selected articles from magazine and journal titles in related areas of study.
  • Economa y Negocios sm galileo is a bibliographic database for the areas of business and economics and is a result of a collaborative effort between EBSCO Publishing and ESAN (Escuela de Administracin de Negocios para Graduados). Search functionality is enhanced through the incorporation of author keywords supplied in Spanish and English. More than 60,000 records, dating back to the early 1980s, provide coverage for more than 300 Spanish and Portuguese-language periodicals published in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, the United States and elsewhere. Titles include Revista de la CEPAL, Revista de Administraao, Estudios Empresariales, and Agroeconmico.
  • Hospitality & Tourism Index Complete sm galileo covers scholarly research and industry news relating to all areas of hospitality and tourism. Hospitality & Tourism Index Complete contains full text for more than 200 journals, including over fifty that are not included in Business Source Complete.
  • Internet & Personal Computing Abstracts sm galileo content coverage extends back to the 1980s. Over 400 of the most important trade publications, mainstream computer magazines, and professional journals are covered, including those that focus on specific topics such as Macintosh and Windows platforms, programming, web development and more. Special emphasis is also given to hardware and software reviews.
  • The Information Science & Technology Abstracts (ISTA) sm galileo database provides indexing and abstract coverage of topics on technology including classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management, Internet search engines, printed and electronic information sources, the information industry, electronic publishing, and more. This database indexes journal articles from more than 450 publications. Sources indexed include books, research reports, conference proceedings, and patents.
  • Insurance Periodicals Index sm galileo indexes and abstracts over 200 insurance industry journals and magazines. Coverage extends from 1965 to the present and features a controlled vocabulary of index terms that reflects current insurance industry terminology. IPI will interest researchers in economics, social scientists, and insurance and government organizations.
  • Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe sm galileo (years vary) contains full-text newspapers from the past 20 years (including the New York Times), business information (articles, company financial data, SEC filings and reports, industry news, accounting literature), legal information, and reference works (such as the Forbes Annual Directory, the Official Guide/American Marketplace and the US Global Trade Outlook).
  • Computer Source: Consumer Edition  sm galileo (1984-present) features over 120 full-text periodicals covering market information in computers, telecommunications, electronics, and the Internet.
  • Research Library sm galileo (1986-present, some full-text/images from 1991-present) is a multidisciplinary database covering academic journals in the humanities, the social sciences, and the general sciences as well as popular magazines and business publications.

  • Computer and Information Systems Abstracts  sm galileo (1981-present) provides citations to articles on software, artificial intelligence, automation, equipment manufacturing and design, system security, imaging systems, robotics, pattern recognition, logic and switching theory, CAD/CAM, computer mathematics, and computer electronics.
  • Current Contents  sm galileo (1992-present) is a multidisciplinary database covering scholarly journals in the sciences, the social sciences, and the arts and humanities.
  • Business Periodicals Index ( A printed index. (volume 1, 1958 to volume 36 1994) indexes articles from more than 300 periodicals. It provides coverage for all major aspects of the discipline. Abstracts were added in 1990.
