Clyde E. Keeler Collection

The Clyde E. Keeler collection covers several areas of interest to the records' creator, the majority of which is related to his work in medical genetics. This includes work with animals, including papers on the Himalyan, Burmese, and Ocicats, albino members of the Cuna Indian Tribe in Panama, and patients at Central State Hospital in Milledgeville, Georgia. Another area covered by the collection is Keeler's efforts to document various aspects of the culture of the Cuna. In addition, Keeler was interested in archaeological evidence suggesting that European cultures reached North America prior to 1492. The collection also includes Keeler's correspondence, photographs, scrapbooks, and various ephemera.
