Progressive Farmers Club of Baldwin County Collection
The Farmers Club of Baldwin County was founded by William McKinley, J. B. Gonder, A. I. Butts, J. S. Thomas, L. Carrington, and R. N. Lamar on 5 August 1871.
"Resolved, that in the judgment of this meeting, it is very important and useful to the farmers, householders, and staple trade merchants of Baldwin County, to organize as a Farmers Club." (Southern Recorder)
The Farmers Club of Baldwin County was the precursor to the Progressive Farmers Club of Baldwin County.
