IDEAS (Instructional Distance Education and Advanced Services)
The mission of IDEAS is to assist in the alignment of instructional technologies with the educational goals of Georgia College & State University, Georgia's Public Liberal Arts University. IDEAS pursues this mission through content and systems development, training, researching emerging technologies and deploying customized services and facilities.
Toward that end, IDEAS is engaged in the following categories of activity:
- Institutional Administration of the GeorgiaVIEW Service
- Development and Delivery of GeorgiaVIEW Training
- Assisting in the Development of Learning Materials Requiring Advanced Techniques and Equipment
- Assisting in the Development of Advanced Applications of the GeorgiaVIEW Platform
- Assisting with USG Initiatives such as the USG Podcasting Service
- Research and Development of Emerging Technologies
- Providing Consultative Services to Faculty and Others
