Arrived in hand receipt for 16 boxes
(of) marble received a few days since from New York. The boat is
about ready to start and we hope will be with you in a few days.

mantels.

T. Porter. 2 Boxes Copper 94 pounds.
To be delivered unto Mr. Timothy Porter Milledgeville. The paying
for freight for the same and for receipt adjusted one dollar for one
hundred pounds.

Archives. The above citation concerns copper being delivered that
was used for the original roof of the Mansion. In 1850 the copper
was replaced with tin due to leakage.
