Concentrations
BROADCAST & ELECTRONIC MEDIA
The Broadcast & Electronic Media concentration prepares students for a career in many aspects of the broadcast world. Students are prepared to work either in front of a camera or microphone, behind one in the production process, or other related media areas. They will be prepared for broadcast positions in:
- news organizations
- ad agencies
- cable companies
- satellite companies
- production companies
- other radio/television companies producing creative programming
Courses required for this concentration include Principles of Broadcast & Electronic Media, Audio Theory & Practice, Video Theory & Practice, and Advanced Media Production OR Newscast Production.
