Music Therapy
The Bachelor of Music Therapy training at Georgia College is in the
mentor- apprentice tradition, with small student-to-faculty ratios.
Opportunity for clinical experience in the community is diverse,
ranging from traditional to innovative health care areas. In addition,
Georgia College has a state-of-the-art music therapy clinic designed
to provide students with the opportunity to observe professional
music therapists in action, as well as the opportunity to develop
their own music therapy skills in a private clinic setting.
The Master of Music Therapy program is an online program that
provides the opportunity to acquire an advanced theoretical,
research and practical base for meeting the changing needs of
the people served by the profession while meeting the needs of
students with busy lives.
Accreditation
Undergraduate and graduate studies in music therapy at GC
are approved by the National Association of Schools for Music
(NASM) and the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA).
