Dr. Ann Caldwell

CaldwellAnn Blakeney Caldwell is a native of Griffin, Georgia.  She holds the Bachelor of Music degree from Georgia College & State University and the Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in performance and music history from the University of Georgia.  She studied piano with Despy Karlas and organ with Dr. Robert Wolfersteig and Dr. Egbert Ennulat.

Dr. Caldwell teaches piano, organ, class piano, and music appreciation at Georgia College & State University.  She coordinates the university’s annual Junior Piano Olympics competition for middle and high school students.  In addition to teaching, she is the organist at Vineville Baptist Church in Macon.  She is a member of the Macon Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and the Milledgeville Music Club, and serves on the Steinway Society Committee to manage and promote a concert series for the Goldstein Performing Arts Center in Milledgeville.   She maintains a busy performance schedule including solo organ, piano ensemble, and collaborative work.  Special interests include historic organ restoration, early music performance practice, and Moravian music.
