Dr. Wendy Mullen


Dr. Wendy Mullen
Associate Professor of Music in Voice; Vocal Coordinator (1999)
Soprano Wendy Mullen received her DMA in Performance from Arizona State University and her Master and Bachelor of Music degrees from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Dr. Mullen taught voice at Arizona State University, Pellissippi State Community College, Tennessee Technological University, and The University of Tennessee.  She participated in the International Competition of Twentieth-Century Music and Schubert Lied in Graz, Austria and has sung with the Knoxville Opera Company, Knoxville Symphony, Knoxville Chamber Players, Kingsport Symphony, and Johnson City Symphony. Dr. Mullen has performed Zweite Dame in Die Zauberflote, the title role of Suor Angelica, Marie in The Bartered Bride, Fiordiligi in Cosi Fan Tutti, and Sudie in the World Premiere of Kenton Coe's Rachel among others. Her music theatre experience includes leading roles in Nunsense, Hello Dolly!, Godspell, the Sound of Music, Oklahoma!, Showboat, and Brigadoon. Dr. Mullen is also an accomplished violist and core member of the Macon Symphony.
