Max Noah Recital Hall
Max Noah Recital Hall is located on the third floor of Porter Hall. Student, faculty, and guest artist chamber recitals are held here, as well as small theatre productions. Max Noah is an intimate venue that seats nearly 200 people.

Dr. Max Noah
Max Noah Recital Hall (originally called Porter Auditorium) was extensively remodeled in 1987 and re-named Max Noah Hall after Dr. Max Noah who served as the Chairman of the Department of Music from 1935 to 1965.
Did you know? The first issue (Volume 1 Number 1) of the Georgia Music News was printed here in the Department of Music at Georgia College in May of 1938. A subscription to the "newsletter" was 50 cents.
