Mission Statement
The Georgia College & State University Department of Music is dedicated to developing and maintaining an excellent learning and production environment for those who are committed to the performing arts. We seek to offer curricula which will provide both a competitive advantage for our students as they seek entry into the larger cultural community; and an outlet for their creative and interpretive energies in their pursuit of a more meaningful appreciation of our society and the human spirit.
To the larger community we pledge ourselves to the advancement of cultural activities of a wide diversity through performances and productions by students, faculty, artists-in-residence and visiting artists/productions.
