Fossils to Space Workshop 2010-11

 
The 2010-11 From Fossils to Space Workshop consists of 6 sessions beginning in August 2010. The first five (5) sessions of the workshop will take place between August 2010 and December 2010 (one Thursday each month) followed by a sixth session during June 2011. Substitute teachers will be provided during the academic year. The workshop will be hosted at the Natural History Museum at Georgia College in Herty Hall, the science building. Sessions will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. Free school bus transportation will be provided for participating teachers to take their students to the Natural History Museum and Planetarium at Georgia College. During the field trips, teachers will implement activities developed during the workshop. To be eligible to participate in the summer session, teachers must have successfully completed all academic year activities. Participants will receive a $300 stipend and six (6) Professional Learning Units for full participation in the program.
