4. When you meet the requirements for regular admission to
the graduate program, you will be asked to plan a
Program of Graduate Study. Please contact the program
advisor listed on your acceptance letter for an appointment.

5. Become thoroughly familiar with the regulations and
requirements stated in the Graduate Catalog. Pay special
attention to the academic policies, the requirements for
graduation, and the prerequisites for graduate courses.
The graduate catalog can be found online at
    http://catalog.gcsu.edu/grad/index.htm.

6. You must complete and return the Certificate of Immunization
to the Registrar's Office before you can register for courses
at GC. If you have not received an immunization form,
please contact the Registrar's Office or call 478-445-6286.

7. Register each semester for courses on your approved Program
of Study. Some courses have required prerequisites
(consult the catalog course description to make certain you do
not register for a course that you may not yet be prepared to
take). Take advantage of early registration!  By registering
early, you will eliminate problems such as holds on your
    registration and busy telephone lines.

8. If a change in your approved program becomes necessary,
request that the Graduate Coordinator initiate a "change of
program" form deleting and adding the course you wish to
change. Make your request prior to registering for the course
you wish to add, since not all requested changes can be
allowed, and you would not want to waste your time taking a
course that could not be applied toward your degree program.

9. If you are out of school for one or more semesters (excluding
Summer Term), contact the Graduate Admissions Office at
478-445-6289 to have your file reactivated.

10. Secure prior approval from the Graduate Coordinator for any
work taken under the auspices of another institution as a
    transient graduate student.
