Applying to the RN-BSN Program

 
1. Submit an application to the University and have official
    transcripts sent to GCSU Registrar's Office at:

    Georgia College & State University
    Office of Admissions, Campus Box 23

Application to the University must be made by the following
deadlines:

  • Enrolling for Fall - July 1
  • Enrolling for Spring - November 1
  • Enrolling for Maymester - April 1
  • Enrolling for Summer - May 1
  
 By applying and being accepted to GCSU, the RN-BSN
 Coordinator can access your transcripts and advise you 
 in the core curriculum requirements that you'll need to 
 complete before acceptance to the RN-BSN Program. 
 Please apply well before the RN-BSN Program 
 Deadlines so that you may enter the semester you 
 desire.


 NOTE: You may be required to reapply (no fee) to
             GCSU if you did not begin the semester you
             requested and 12 months have lapsed. You
             may be required to update your application
             if you did not begin the semester you requested
             and less than 12 months have lapsed.

You may contact the RN-BSN Coordinator at any time for
advisement with your application, acceptance, or core courses
questions. The links below should assist you in locating the forms and information you'll need in the application process:



 2. Apply to the RN-BSN program.(doc) Associate degree and diploma
     degree nurses accepted by GCSU are invited to apply to the
     RN-BSN/MSN program during their LAST SEMESTER of core
     curriculum courses. If you have your core courses complete,
     simply apply to the program. Students are admitted to the
     RN-BSN Program EACH semester.
During the first semester
     of RN-BSN nursing courses, the RN-MSN student will declare
     their interest in pursuing the RN-MSN track. Students considering
     this track must take careful consideration of the admission criteria
     before applying. RN-MSN students are required to take NRSG
     5600 and NRSG 5500 as bridge courses to the Graduate Program.

     

    RN-BSN Program Application instructions:
     

    • Students are accepted to the RN-BSN program in the fall semester only. Applications maybe submitted before June 15. 

    • International students should contact the International Education Center.
       
    • Type your information directly onto the form using your TAB key or Mouse to move around the form.
    • You will notice that the last page contains information that your supervisor needs to provide. This relates to the Georgia RN-BSN Articulation Plan.
    • Complete all necessary requirements listed on the form and mail to:
