Location

East Campus (Lake Laurel), home to the Outdoor Center at Georgia College, is located about 10 minutes east of the Georgia College Main Campus. Facilities include Lake Laurel Lodge, the Outdoor Center Cabin, the Water Shack and Challenge Courses.  East Campus is situated on 83 acres of mixed forest, including a 3 acre lake, stream and wetlands. We are proud to offer a wide variety of opportunities for outdoor recreation, group development, technical training, and leadership development to meet the needs of our clients and serve Georgia College faculty, staff and students. See details about our facilities below and if you have questions, feel free to give us a call.

The Challenge Course
The Challenge Course is located on a hill overlooking Lake Laurel, surrounded by mixed-forest and bordered by a small stream on the south side.  The main activity area is bisected by an old logging road and smaller foot paths deliver participants to activity areas on the site. The facility is designed to accommodate a range of ages and abilities, and enable us to create programs that are unique to every group.

Equipped with state of the art technology, a large central gathering room is a great place to begin and end a program.  The lodge offers rustic accommodation that comfortably sleep 20 people.  Its large screened in porch joins a deck equipped with picnic tables and a grill.  Those amenities plus its kitchen provide a great opportunity for group meals.
