Academic Program Mission
Outdoor education academic programs at Georgia College develop professional outdoor educators committed to innovative and authentic leadership. Students learn through direct experience and meaningful relationships with other students, faculty, community members, and the natural and cultural settings in which outdoor educators practice. Our graduates create opportunities for positive change in individuals, communities, and society.

The M.Ed. in Kinesiology: Outdoor Education Administration prepares practicing professionals to be leaders in a variety of career settings that promote the use of outdoor/adventure environments to create healthy individuals and a sustainable society and for advanced academic study in outdoor education and related disciplines. We use traditional and experiential education strategies to provide graduate students with professional leadership training, knowledge of preferred practice related to outdoor activities, and an advanced theoretical basis for administering or studying outdoor education programs and services.

If you are interested in a career that  promotes holistic, values environmental stewardship, values adventure as central to personal growth, ascribes to the tenets of experiential education, demands effective leadership, and promotes professionalism, then our program may be right for you!

If you can imagine your future out of the box; we are the program to enhance your career goals!
