Summaries from the Second Stakeholder Conference
Summaries from the Second Stakeholder Conference
At the January 20, 2006, stakeholder conference, participants at each table selected one potential pillar of distinction that appealed most to their group, based on consideration of previously agreed-upon criteria.
Each table reached consensus on its responses to three questions posed by the facilitator, Dr. John Moore of Penson Associates, and presented its ideas to the larger group. The compilation of the ideas presented by the table groups in response to the questions is presented below under each proposed pillar of distinction.
Questions
- What core values should guide the total student learning experience at GCSU?
- What are the current strengths of the total learning experience upon which we might build to achieve even higher levels of distinction?
- What are some concrete ways in which we might build upon those strengths to achieve greater distinction?
- What in Truman State's experience might we use to guide our own transformation as we move toward national distinction and distinctiveness?"
