CONNECTING WHAT MATTERS

Public Services

Many resources are available to help faculty, staff, students and the public plan events on the Georgia College campus. Public Services assists by reserving space for meetings, receptions, rehearsals, noncredit courses and other nonacademic programs. The department also supervises a number of high-demand campus facilities including the Centennial Center Complex, Russell Auditorium, Chappell Hall, Lake Laurel Lodge, the tennis courts and pools and Miller Dance Studio.

If you have never before requested a facility using the R25 request form, please review the following tutorial before accessing the R25 WebViewer website.  Click here to view the tutorial in Microsoft PowerPoint.

Before reserving space, we recommend that you first view the university's R25 WebViewer which provides a real time display of all of the credit courses and nonacademic events that have been scheduled into campus facilities.  The WebViewer will enable you to see which facilities might be available for your event, and to determine if there are other events that might compete for audiences or campus support services.

Then, to reserve campus space, please complete the online Facility Request Form.

For newcomers to the facility reservation process, the university's Facility Scheduling Policy provides useful information.

For assistance with events such as camps and conferences that require multiple facilities over several days and more complex support services, contact Continuing Education. In addition to arranging for facilities, Continuing Education will assist in accessing food services, housing, audiovisual support, room setup and moving services, providing registration assistance, Continuing Education Units (CEUs), and other campus services.

The Centennial Center Pool is available for GC faculty, staff & students.  GC Alumni may purchase a pool pass.  The pool is not open to the general public, but is available for rental for private events.  The pool opens mid April and remains open until the end of September (pool hours are subject to change during June & July due to our camp season, special events, or holiday closings).  For more pool information please call 478-445-6542.
