Herff Jones is Georgia College's authorized vendor. Please contact them directly for information.
The Regalia will be available for purchase from the Box Office Bookstore on a date to be determined.
Proper attire is required of all students participating in the ceremony. Ladies please remember to wear dark shoes; low heels are strongly encouraged. Gentlemen please remember to wear dark shoes and trousers. Please avoid wearing bright colors.
Within each school, candidates will be lined up alphabetically within the degree designation they are receiving (BA, BBA, MA, MP A, MBA, etc.). Each student will be handed a name card by a marshal. You will line-up in numerical sequence (as indicated on card) by school and degree program.
In order to insure your proper place in line--PLEASE BE ON TIME! The faculty marshals will assist you in properly lining up for the ceremony beginning at 12 noon.
As you assemble; each student will be presented a name card. Give this card to the announcer as you step onto the stage.
Pronunciation of Names
We want to pronounce your name correctly. If you have a name that is routinely pronounced incorrectly, contact the reader that will be responsible for your name (TBA). If leaving a message, indicate your school, degree, major, and then slowly and clearly speak the pronunciation.
Georgia College Television will record the ceremony. You may purchase a copy of the video on VHS or DVD format for $15. Order forms will be available at the ceremony or you may download the request (doc) and mail to:

Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.
GradImages, our graduation photographer, will provide a proof to each student approximately one week after the ceremony. Families are welcome to take additional photographs of their graduates after the ceremony; however, no one will be allowed near the stage to take pictures during the ceremony. To register your e-mail address prior to graduation for a $5 discount, visit GradImages.
The ceremony is not complete until the faculty, honored guests and students recess. As a show of respect, guests are asked to remain standing at their seats until the recessional has ended.
Participation in the ceremony does not guarantee that all degree requirements have been satisfied. Students will receive a diploma cover at commencement. Diplomas are mailed to the permanent address, as stated on the graduation application, following verification by the Graduate Coordinators and by the Registrar’s Office that all degree requirements were satisfied by the last day of the semester in which the degree is to be awarded. This process normally takes 1-2 weeks following the end of the term.
Please refer all questions to the Office of the Registrar at 478-445-6288 or email@example.com.
