Standing Committees
There are six standing committees created by the Constitution of the Student Government Association. Most of SGA's tangible work is done through committees. Each committee is comprised of SGA senators elected by the students and may contain an executive officer as well.
Student Services Committee
The Student Services Committee deals primarily with matters and services provided by the Department of Auxiliary Services. They work closely with the department to help determine things such as business hours of on-campus dining facilities, parking, and student concerns among other tasks. This committee is chaired by a senator appointed by the SGA President. This committee is scheduled to meet at 2 p.m. on Thursdays in the library.
Internal/External Affairs Committee (IE)
The Internal Affairs Committee deals with the internal workings of Student Government as well as assisting with public relations and elections. The IE Committee also oversees the approval process of Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) on Campus. To view a complete list of all RSOs please follow this link to Campus Life's RSO Management Site, OrgSync. This committee is chaired by the SGA President Pro Tempore. This committee is scheduled to meet at 2 p.m. on Tuesdays in the SGA Presidential Conference Room.
Public Relations Committee
The Public Relations Committee is responsible for getting the voice of the students to the ears of the Student Government Association as well as informing the student body of the services that are available to them through the Student Government Association. This committee is chaired by a senator appointed by the SGA President. This committee is scheduled to meet at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesdays in the library.

These committees have been created to deal with issues that the students have voiced concern about and that can be dealt with immediately. This committee is chaired by the SGA Vice President. The current ad-hoc committees are:

This committee is scheduled to meet at 4 p.m. on Tuesdays in the SGA Presidential Conference Room. - Campus Improvements

Further, the committee will work to seek funding for the projects and plans developed in this committee with the overall mission to improve the facilities on campus. This committee is scheduled to meet at 12:15 p.m. on Mondays in the DEN. - RSO Sponsorship Policy
