Chris Lawson
Chris Lawson is an award-winning artist, having exhibited his mixed-media works for the past 15 years regionally, nationally, and internationally. Chris produces CD art and music videos for Saddle Creek Records and directed several documentary films. His films have screened internationally and been featured on National Public Radio (NPR).
Chris’s art and writing has also been featured in several magazines and websites including Artforum, Art Papers, Spin, Paste, Rolling Stone and Justapoz.com. He divides his time between Birmingham, Alabama and Phnom Penh, Cambodia. About his affinity for these places he states, “both cities are marked by extreme and tragic histories, and it’s been a particular interest to create art in these regions as they emerge and re-define themselves in the 21st century.”
