Carol Shloss
BIOGRAPHYCarol Loeb Shloss, who has taught at Wesleyan, Pennsylvania, and West Chester, is now Professor of English at Stanford University. Among her books are Flannery O'Connor's Dark Comedies: The Limits of Inference, which is scheduled to be reprinted soon by LSU Press; In Visible Light: Photography and the American Writer (Oxford); and the award-winning biography of James Joyce's daughter, Lucia Joyce: To Dance in the Wake (Farrar). Shloss has presented and written extensively about her successful court case with the Estate of James Joyce over her Lucia Joyce biography. Her current projects are The Stanford Finnegans Wake Visualization Project, The Collected Unpublished Letters of James Joyce, and Treason's Child: Mary de Rachewiltz and the Real Estate of Ezra Pound.
