The Campus Life challenge is for every student to get involved in at least one student organization. Research shows that students who are involved persist through college, make better grades, and graduate at higher rates. Learn more about student organizations on campus. There are a large number of events and activities planned by faculty, staff and students at Georgia College. Learn more about campus events by visiting the Student Calendar and the GC Events Calendar. Many of these events are held in the Student Activities Center. The Student Center is home to the DEN, Georgia College's student lounge. in the DEN you have access to 8 televisions, billiards, ping pong, full-body massage chairs, shuffle board, and the very popular video gaming cafe. To ensure that student events are made available to the general student body and to provide helpful tools to student organizations, Campus Life uses a student organization management system called OrgSync (use your bobcats email address as your login). This programs allows students to join student organizations and to actively participant online with their peers. Details on using OrgSync are provided here. Campus Life is composed of multiple student-centered offices: Center for Activities & Student Organizations (CASO), Greek Life, The GIVE Center, Recreational Sports, and the Student Activities Center. The Center for Activities & Student Organizations works with student leaders in advancing their activities and organizations. CASO works directly with the Campus Activities Board who is charged with developing a wide variety of programs and activities for the entire student body. In addition CASO oversees OrgSync and the development of organizational leaders. CASO is located on the 3rd floor of the Student Acclivities Center. The Office of Greek Life is responsible for working with fraternity and sorority life. With nearly 1,200 students participating in Greek life, fraternity and sororities are highly involved on campus and engaged in the local community. The Office of Greek Life is located on 2nd floor of the Student Activities Center. The GIVE Center serves students who are interested in volunteering in their community. As one of the largest engaged areas of the campus, students contributed over 72,000 hours to community service. The GIVE Center is located in Ennis Hall, next to Student Activities Center. The GIVE Center will be moving to the Maxwell Student Union in the next few months. The Office of Rec Sports is the largest engaged area of the campus. With 50% of students participating in intramural and club sports, students are physically active whether participating in fun-leagues or highly competitive ones.
