Recreational Sports
Recreational Sports offer students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to participate in various structured individual and team sports, ranging from "just for fun" to extremely competitive. These activities are provided in a recreational atmosphere where participants can pursue healthy lifestyles, form group affiliations, and develop leadership skills in recreational activities that may become life-long avocations.
Rec Sports consists of 3 functional areas: Intramural Sports, Club Sports and Special Events. All events are open to students with a valid Bobcat ID card, as well as all faculty/staff associated with the university. Major Intramural Sports include basketball, flag football, dodge ball, soccer, softball, and ultimate. Club Sport teams are student-run teams that compete with other universities. These teams include, in part, lacrosse, soccer, swimming, ultimate, dance team, and wakeboard. For a full listing of active club sports teams, visit student organizations and click on Club Sports. Examples of Special Events include billiard tournaments, video gaming competitions, poker tournaments, and table tennis tournaments.
