All the parking lots on the GC campus are designated for a specific permit. All vehicles parking on GC property must be registered and display the appropriate hang tag in order to park in a specific lot. Vehicles located in lots without the required permit may be cited for an "out of zone" or "no permit" violation.
Students and employees of GC normally register their vehicles before the beginning of the fall term. However, registration can be accomplished throughout the year for transfer students and new employees. Registration for the upcoming Academic Year will be announced via student and employee email. This process should be completed on-line here. Registering in person at the Parking & Transportation Services office located on West Campus in the Health Sciences West building is an option but long wait lines can be expected. When registering in person please ensure that you have your GC identification card (Bobcat Card), GCID number, and a current state-issued vehicle registration card with you.
The P or Perimeter permit is available to all GC students and employees. This permit is only good in P designated lots. See Parking Map
The C or Commuter permit is a student permit issued to students who do not reside in on-campus housing. This permit also allows parking in Perimeter (P) designated lots if a Commuter lot is not available or full.

New hires may obtain this permit on a one-time, semi-annual pro-rated charge. This permit allows parking in a Perimeter (P) lot if an Employee lot is not available or full.
A visitor is a person not enrolled or employed by GC. Visitor parking is available in certain lots and the spaces are clearly designated. Visitor parking is limited to 20 minutes without a permit. Visitors wishing to park for longer than 20 minutes will need to have a Visitors Permit displayed. Visitor Permits may be obtained from the Parking & Transportation Services office located on West Campus, at the Maxwell Student Union Bookstore or Public Safety.
A limited number of Reserved spaces are available for employees with a justifiable need for the slot. Employees wishing to request this type of space must submit a Reserved Parking Application to the Parking and Transportation Services office with endorsements and authorization from their respective Dean or Division Head and approved by senior administrators. The permit is only available as an annual permit and the fee is $250.00 in addition to the required employee permit fee.
