POUNCE Instructions
How to Submit Your POUNCE Course Preference Form
- After reading the following instructions, use your web browser (Internet Explorer 6.0 is recommended) to go to http://myCATS.gcsu.edu.
- Enter your "Secure Access Login" with your username and password (found in your acceptance letter). If you have problems logging in or forget your password, click the appropriate link below the password box for help.
- Once you log on to myCATS, click on the "Student" tab.
- On the "Student" tab of this site, you will see a menu list for PAWS links. Choose "Menu for New and Returning Students" from this list. A new window will open at this time.
- Click on "POUNCE Registration."
- Follow the directions provided to complete the form.
- Before finalizing your preferences, review them carefully as you may POUNCE only once.

How to View Your Schedule
Once you have submitted the POUNCE Course Preference Form, an advisor in your major department will create your fall schedule. Approximately 5-10 business days after you submit your POUNCE Course Preference Form, you will receive an e-mail at your GCSU e-mail account to let you know that your schedule is complete. At that time, you will be able to view your schedule on line.
Using your web browser, go to http://myCATS.gcsu.edu

- Once you log on to myCATS, click on the "Student" tab.
- On the "Student" tab, find the PAWS links. Choose "Registration Menu" from this list. A new window will open.
- Click on "GCSU Printable Schedule" to view your schedule. Locations are subject to change. Remember to re-print your schedule at the beginning of the semester.
How to Check Your Email
Every GCSU student as an Ecats Email account. This email is considered an official mode of communication between GCSU faculty, administration and students. Check your email account every day for important communications from registration to class assignment to graduation.

Once you log on to myCATS, click on the "e-mail" icon at the top right corner of the page.

Your email address is usually formatted as firstname_lastname@ecats.gcsu.edu
