Keys to Surviving and Thriving

 

 

  • Get 8 hours of continuous sleep per night

  • Go to class

  • Review your notes each night

  • Get to know your professors so they get to know you

  • Manage your time (prioritize and do what is important first)

  • Reward yourself for sticking to your plan with fun activities

  • Seek balance in your life among school, work, social, recreational, spiritual components

  • Get regular exercise and eat properly

  • Don't procrastinate – begin assignments as soon as you get them

  • Turn assignments in on time or before they are due (ask professors if they will give you feedback before final submission)

  • Get help before it is too late (mid-term is too late!!)

  • You don't need to be having problems to get help
