Student Email Instructions


Georgia College provides each student with an ecats e-mail account. The information for your account will be included in your acceptance letter.  You can start sending and receiving e-mail using your ecats account by following these easy instructions.

Once you have this information, you will be able to login to the myCATS campus portal at: http://mycats.gcsu.eduYou will be required to change your password when you login for the first time.   This user name and password will also be used for to log onto the wireless network.

You may setup your -email client (Eudora, Outlook, etc) to access your e-mail using the POP or IMAP connections. Your web access to your e-mail will be through your myCATS account.

• You have the ability to forward your e-mail to off campus locations.
• The e-mail in your myCATS has a robust set of configuration options in the help section under 
    the e-mail tab. There is comprehensive help available on-line as well.
• Be sure to LOG OUT of your account when you are finished.

FINANCIAL AID: If your ecats e-mail account has not been created, your Financial Aid information will be emailed to the address you provided on the Financial Aid application.  If you did not submit an e-mail address or would like to verify that the Financial Aid office has a valid e-mail address, please contact Financial Aid at (478) 445-5149.

If you still are unable to access your account, please contact the Registrar's Office at (478) 445-6286. Serve cannot reset your password.
