Frani Geiger received her BA in Theatre from Wesleyan University (Middletown, CT), and her MFA in Theatrical Design from the University of Oregon (Eugene, OR). While at the University of Oregon she designed the lights for several mainstage productions including Love’s Labour’s Lost, Annelie in the Depths of the Night, The Crucible, and Arabian Nights, and designed scenery for the show Playhouse Creatures. She also spent her summers in Oregon as Scenic Designer and Technical Director for The Mad Duckling Children’s Theatre, and Lead Scenic Painter for The John G. Shedd Institute for the Arts’ summer musical season. Before returning to grad school Frani spent time in Washington D.C. as an over-hire electrician for several theatres including Signature Theatre in Virginia and special event lighting companies including John Farr Lighting. She was also the Resident Lighting Designer and Technical Director for Ganymede Arts.
