TRENT BLANTON is currently playing Fred/Fezziwig in A Christmas Carol at Actor's Theatre of Louisville 2008. He will playing Javert in Les Miserables at Actor's Playhouse in Coral Gables in March/April 2009. He will finish his MFA in Acting at Florida Atlantic University in May where he is teaching Acting and Professional Music Theatre Technique. With his wife, he will be directing an original Jacques Brel review for the main stage season with new translations of Brel's work by Arnold Johnston featuring our music theatre and graduate acting students at FAU. He will also direct the music theatre showcase Hear My Song featuring his music theatre students. He directed Eurydice for the department's main stage season last fall. The show was Highly Recommended for the ACTF regional festival.
 
Since leaving GCSU he performed in the National Tour of Les Miserables, was in the 2002 Chinese (Shanghai) production of Les Miz featuring Colm Wilkinson. It was the first Broadway show to be performed in China. The production was the subject of a BBC documentary. He has performed with many regional theatres including Ford's Theatre, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, The Alliance Theatre, Georgia Shakespeare, The MUNY in St. Louis, The Starlight in Kansas City and many others. He made his symphony debut with the Symphony of the Americas of Ft. Lauderdale (with his wife as well). He has been married to his wife and fellow Equity Actor Rebecca Simon for two years.
