Campus Black Box Theatre
The Campus Theatre is scheduled to open in March 2010. Originally a vaudeville theatre turned movie theatre, the historic Campus Theatre is currently undergoing renovations to provide retail space for the university and new academic and performance spaces for the Theatre Department, including a 250-seat flexible black box theatre, rehearsal and classroom space, a design lab and offices. The new facilities will be a huge benefit to students, allowing them to perform in an arena setting, work with high quality light and sound systems and learn about state of the art technology.
The Campus Theatre project is sponsored by the Georgia Board of Regents with $7 million worth of sold bonds.
