BFA in Theatre and Design, Central Michigan University. Before coming to Georgia College, Russ was employed by a regional theatre company in Virginia, a lighting company in Michigan, and spent more than 15 years rigging rock-and-roll shows. He is certified by USITT in Level One Rigging. He has operated his own scene shop and has built professional theatre sets for The Philadelphia Festival of New Players, Peoples Light Theatre, the Arden Theatre Company, Temple Opera Theatre, in addition to three shows on Broadway. Most recently, he worked for an industrial display company in Philadelphia building museum displays and television commercial sets and props.
