American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification Course
Program Description: To teach participants the knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. The course content and activities prepare participants to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and prevent drownings and injuries.
American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer Challenge Certification Course
Program Description: The purpose of a challenge course is to give individuals the opportunity to demonstrate knowledge and skill competency outside a full-course setting. Participants have sole responsibility to prepare for the knowledge and skill evaluation. Anyone is eligible to participate in a challenge.
Individuals who do not possess a current American Red Cross University Certificate indicating Lifeguarding/First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer may participate in the challenge once. If you do not pass the challenge, you will be referred to enroll in a full course.
Individuals who hold a current American Red Cross University Certificate indicating Lifeguarding/First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer may challenge as often as the challenges are available and your certificates remain valid.
American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid for the Professional Rescuer and Health Care Provider
Program Description: Teaches participants to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults; perform first aid for cuts, scrapes, bruises, burns, bleeding, sprains and strains; and treat sudden illnesses.
