Dave Terrell - Director, Wellness and Recreation Center
Dave graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation. He went on to get his Masters of Science in Health and Physical Education, with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology, from the George Peabody College for Teachers of Vanderbilt University. He continued his education at George Peabody by earning his Educational Specialist in Health and Physical Education, with an emphasis in Curriculum Development. Prior to working at GC, Dave served as the Director of the Wellness Center at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon, Georgia for 18 years.

Amy Whatley - Associate Director: Member Services
Amy graduated from Georgia College in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She completed her Masters in Education with an emphasis in Health Promotion from GC in 2005. Throughout graduate school, Amy gained a great deal of experience working as a graduate assistant within the GC Kinesiology department as well as a facility supervisor at the Wellness Depot. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist and a Certified Wellness Coach. In addition, Amy has Specialty Certificates from SCW Fitness Education in Group Exercise and Sports Nutrition and Body Composition. Most recently, she became a Certified R.I.P.P.E.D. Instructor.

Laura received her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Georgia College in 1999. She also received her Masters in Education degree in Health Promotion from GC in 2007. Laura is a certified Group Fitness Instructor with AFAA (Aerobics & Fitness Association of America) and has been teaching group fitness classes for over 10 years. She is also a certified Personal Fitness Trainer with AFAA (2001), an ACSM Cancer Exercise Trainer, Certified Piloxing Instructor, and has Specialty Certificates from SCW Fitness Education for Advanced Functional Training and Small Group Kettle Weights. Prior to beginning work at GC, Laura worked for 8 years as Assistant Director of Fitness and Wellness at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia.

Justin Anderson - Associate Director: Aquatics
Justin received his Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce. He also received his Master of Science degree in Recreation and Sport Administration from Western Kentucky University. Justin is certified through the American Red Cross as a Lifeguard Instructor Trainer, Water Park, Shallow Water Attendant, Water Safety, Professional Rescuer, and Lay Responder Instructor and has been teaching for six years. He is also a certified Yoga instructor through YogaFit and Aqua Fitness instructor through AFAA (Aerobics & Fitness Association of America). Justin has worked for the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation in Yokosuka, Japan; Lifeguard Instructor and Swim Instructor Trainer for Sea World Parks and Entertainment at Water Country USA in Williamsburg, Virginia; and most recently as the Coordinator of Aquatic Programming and Risk Management at Old Dominion University.
