Athletic Training

The Georgia College Department of Wellness and Recreation is proud to provide a certified athletic trainer available for:

  • On-site athletic training services at both Intramural and Club Sports home events 
  • Injury treatment and rehabilitation services for Club Sports athletes 

 

What is Athletic Training?

Athletic Trainers (ATs) are health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, and therapeutic rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. They are required to attain and maintain both the Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) credential and a license to practice athletic training in the state of Georgia.

How to make an appointment:

  • Injury treatment and rehabilitation services are available to Club Sports athletes, and injury evaluations are available for injuries that occurred while participating in an Intramural Sports event.

Location: Wellness and Recreation Center Rm. 104

134 West Campus Drive, Milledgeville, GA, 31061

Hours: Monday-Thursday, 2:00-5:00pm, last appointment at 4:30pm.
