University Broadcasting

MBCTV4 is the local Government Access Channel operated by University Broadcasting.

Video content across multiple platforms is becoming an increasingly compelling medium to further expand the Georgia College & State University brand. Our video team is responsible for producing storyboards, scripts and content in ways that reinforce strategic narratives and imagery. Our video content is developed in coordination with Admissions, Advancement and other departments to shape and extend important aspects of our brand across multiple platforms including social media, web communications, television broadcasting and recruitment events. For more information on specific video services provided by our broadcasting department contact our Director of Video Communications, Stacey Lumley (stacey.lumley@gcsu.edu).

In addition, University Broadcasting manages Georgia College’s television broadcasting and programming throughout both the campus and the larger surrounding community through its management of the City of Milledgeville’s Governmental cable channel MBC TV4. Bi-monthly City Council meetings are broadcast live every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at 6:30pm and archived here. Discover these videos and our live online broadcasts for yourself on our Vimeo and YouTube pages.

WRGC 88.3 FM is Georgia College’s 5,000-watt public radio station. WRGC broadcasts to a community of roughly 60,000 listeners in Baldwin and surrounding counties. In addition to National Public Radio favorites like All Things Considered and Morning Edition, WRGC produces local programs including Milledgeville Matters, Georgia College Connections and Jazz Classics with Dr. Bob Wilson. Videography Guidelines

University Broadcasting produces marketing-related videos for the university’s broad, external audience. These projects are primarily coordinated through the Office of the President and University Communications.  If you have a video project you’d like assistance with, please contact our office at least two weeks in advance. Our team will assess the project and our current obligations, then provide you options to meet your needs. Please note some video projects may require you to work with students or with an off-campus video contractor. Video production services for campus events, presentations, visiting lecturers or those targeted to a very narrow audience are not available through our office. However if you would like a video in one of those areas, options are available. Some requests may incur a cost. Our campus video partners below may also offer assistance with some video needs.
