In an effort to help guide next steps after testing for COVID-19, the following decision paths have been created for students and employees:

If an employee:
- is not feeling well with COVID-19 symptoms or recently tested positive for COVID-19
- has been in direct contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
- or believes they have had indirect contact with someone who recently tested positive for COVID-19
The employee should:
Contact their Supervisor
The employee should not contact HR directly. HR needs to discuss several items with the supervisor before speaking with the employee.
Supervisor contacts HR
The supervisor should email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Human Resources at 478-445-4236 with the employee's name and contact number. If the supervisor is notified before 8 a.m. or after 5 p.m., the supervisor should email email@example.com. HR will follow up between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. with the employee.
HR Contacts the Employee
Human Resources will contact the employee to verify exposure level, testing options, and vaccination status. HR will provide further guidance according to each individual's status and current CDC guidelines.
*This decision path has been developed to provide general guidance for decisions regarding students and COVID-19 exposure. We realize that every situation will differ and there may be issues that fall outside of the proposed decision path that may influence decision making.
