For certification in Georgia most educators will need to pass Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators (GACE) assessments before, during, or after a program.  The GACE content assessments are administered at testing centers throughout Georgia which require a photographic identification such as a driver’s license or passport for entry to a testing center session.  For this reason, your legal name, first, middle, and last, as it appears on the identification document should match exactly your name at Georgia College (GC), the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (PSC), and Educational Testing Service (ETS) that administers the assessments and testing centers.  Test scores are passed electronically from ETS to GC and the PSC, and matching name is a requirement for GC to electronically receive scores.  Here are contact numbers if a name update should be needed at any of the three institutions:
