Senior Class Gift FAQs

What is the Senior Class Giving Campaign?

The Senior Class Giving Campaign is designed to encourage the class of 2019 to give back to Georgia College in celebration of their years at GC, and to ensure a bright future for the next generation of Bobcats.

Why should I give to Georgia College?

The continuing decline in state assistance increases the importance of private contributions to enable the university to keep Georgia’s best students in Georgia and to attract the best teaching faculty. Private gifts from alumni, friends, parents, students, corporations and foundations provide the resources necessary to offer an outstanding educational experience for our students and enhance the overall excellence of GC.

What do I get out of participating in the Campaign?

Because you will be considered an alum in just a few short months, your gift to GC will count towards our alumni participation rate. This rate is used when US News & World Report does annual rankings. Therefore, the more alumni who give, the higher the rankings Georgia College receives. This will increase the value of your degree.

Also, by giving at certain levels, you will receive various incentives.

Do I get a say in where my money goes?

Yes. You can designate your gift to whatever area of campus you wish to have an impact, whether it be campus life, housing, your college, etc. You can even designate your gift to more specific areas, such as the Club Hockey team or School of Education scholarships. If you need help determining where to direct your gift, please contact the Alumni office.

How can I participate?

You can make your gift online, or by completing a pledge card and returning it with cash or a check to Smith House or Campus Box 113.
