Transcripts and Letters of Recommendation

Applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution (or equivalent for non-US degree) to be eligible for admission into a graduate program at Georgia College. Official transcripts should be requested from each institution in which an applicant enrolled, regardless of credit earned from that institution This may include, but is not limited to traditional enrollment, dual-enrollment, transient, transfer, graduate, and post-baccalaureate credit. Transcripts should be sent directly from the issuing institution at least 4 weeks prior to the admission deadline to allow for processing and postal delivery. Although courses from a previous institution may be listed on another institution's transcript, an official transcript from each institution is required. Copies and faxes of transcripts are not considered official. International transcript evaluations done by an outside agency must be supported with official transcripts sent directly to Georgia College from the prior college.

Letters of recommendation are requested through the online application. To request letters, professional email addresses for recommenders are entered in the online application and a link is sent to recommenders. The link will ask that the recommender either complete a form or submit a written letter of recommendation to the program. Only professional email addresses are acceptable for this purpose. Please contact the Office of Graduate Studies if recommenders are having issues with the link sent to them.
